Mow lightly as needed taking off the very tips of the grass.
DO NOT FEED during the winter. (Apply lawn feed in Spring & top dress with lawn dressing. In Summer, apply lawn feed, only when the soil is moist. In Autumn Avoid high nitrogen feed, & top dress with lawn dressing.)
Remove any weeds from around the garden to stop them seeding into the lawn.
Remove leaves.
Do not WALK on the lawn in wet, frosty, or icy conditions.
Beneficial Winter Treatments:-
Hollow-Tine Aeration.
Scarification (removal of much of the surface thatch & moss accumulated over the season).

keep off it, its one of the most robust plants in your garden and can fend for itself.

Many people over do thier lawns because the alwn is small and they can afford to "waste" time on it. Our lawn is 7 acres and looks great....because its too big to spend too much time on it.
