I am a US citizen and I personally think that it is a waste of time and resources. I am sure that there have been some really great medical revelations and treatments that have come from it, but even medical research in space isn't all that much of a priority in my mind when we are constantly worried about terrorism and rising energy costs. I would like to see the government scrap NASA for a while and use that money for better things.

All of our modern conveniences, cell phones, microwaves,
etc, etc. Come from space research. Yet people say it's a waste.
If not for lack of vision, and fear of change. We could already be
dumping our trash on the moon, instead of Mother Earth. I know,
but until we can invent some type of "atomizer", that turns
trash into energy by rearranging atoms, we will have to settle for the lesser of two evils. Unless you have a better idea?
If we ever reach a level of peace on our world. We will need to
go to other planets for minerals and such, because the Earth
has a finite supply.
Utopia does not exist in this material level. Never has, and never will.

from Canada--- I think it should be abolished and that money go toward health, education and the needy.
