Area = pi x r squared
24 pi = pi x r squared

Divide both sides by pi

24 = r squared
The square root of 24 = r (you need a calculator here)

Now, r is the radius and diameter is twice the radius, so multiply r times 2 to get the diameter.

R = Diameter divided by 2

Pi X R squared = Area of circle = 24 Pi

That means that R squared = 24

R = Square root of 24

Diameter = 2 X Square root of 24

I'm not positive but maybe if you take a number like 4 and it to it self and get eight, if you multiplied that times pi you would get it but I multiply it out and 8 times pi is 25.12 and 7.5 times pi is 22.85 so i think it would be somwhere in between 7.5 and 8.0. I hope this helps. Good Luck!!

area=pi*d^2/4=24 pi
d^2=24*4=96
d=sq.rt of 96=4 rt.6
