EAFE, Europe and Australasia, Far East Equtiy Index, as maintained by Morgan Stanley, is designed to be an international index of common stocks. Futures and options are available with this index as their underlying asset An acronym referring to the geographical area that includes these three regions. These regions represent the most developed areas outside of North America. The EAFE Index mimics the performance of publicly traded stocks around the world, with the exception of the United States. The average annual return of the EAFE index has been 14.5 percent since 1972.
