I don't know, but I wish white, black, whatever color you are would stop using that excuse. Ah, I'm from the ghetto yo, do you like my pants around my knees and you don't know how hard it was for me, you didn't grow up in the ghetto. Stop using the ghetto as an excuse and grow up and make something of your life other than being a big cry *** whiner.

I don't think that they are acting ghetto, just because they have some characteristics as a person who is ghetto doesn't make them ghetto. Most of the time they were raised in the ghetto, anybody can be ghetto. Ghetto isn't a color, it's a sub-culture, and I don't see nothing wrong with white people being this way, but it becomes a problem when you know they are trying to be something that they know they are not...at least you know these type of white people aren't racist!

So I can respect that!

Because some white people are from the ghetto. Some just want to be ghetto. Just because you have a particular skin tone doesn't mean that you didn't grow up poor in the projects. Why do some black people who have A LOT of money act ghetto?

because they feel inferior with the people they are around an want ta fit in with them and that is only by being some one they are not .or they just want ta be ghetto and look like trash at the same time an ain't nothing worse than a white person looking like that.

For some it is a fad, like my brother who at age 10 told my mom he might be white on the outside but he was black on the inside and insisted that everyone call him T-Bone- he outgrew it thankfully and now, except for being predjudiced is about as redneck as it gets.
My sister on the other hand, wound up living in neighborhoods that were predominantly black- she began acting this way mostly to fit in and be accepted- she has immersed herself completely in the culture and speech and is very unlikeyl to 'outgrow' it . She is not trying to be fake- it just comes naturally to her now.
Out of five brothers and sisters, these are the only tow that completely changed their speech and behavior. It is funny because growing up my parents never really had other than white friends and they were somewhat predjudice- just not openly. Fortunately all of their children are very accepting of all races and cultures and show no racial predjudice.

some white peope act ghetto to try to fit in with their peers. today's society is becoming more urban by the day so people adjust the way they think and act as a way of keeping up with the norm.

Sometimes they grew up in the ghetto, that's why they act like that. I think they should act however they want, it's what they like.

it's not that they're "acting" ghetto. Most of the times it because they grew up around a lot of black people. "when you live in rome, you do what the romans do".
