A Breech baby can turn at the last possible minute, so if you go into labor ask them to check again. There is also a procedure they can do to help turn the baby, its very physical and somewhat painful, but it might make it so you don't have to have a c-section.
I have been through 23 hours of labor then had to have a c-section, my next baby I had a planned c-section. I will take the c-section over the labor any day :)

A breech baby can turn right up until delivery.
Are you doing anything to help your baby turn?
Breech tilts
moxtibustion
Chiropractic - the Webster Technique
heat pack on pelvis and ice pack on fundus
light or music shined "at the exit"
shoulder stands (this is what got my breech baby to turn around 38 weeks)
cartwheels or handstands in a swimming pool
Your caregiver can possibly to an external version as well.
YOu can also always ask to wait until you go into labor and see what baby's position is at that point and decide if you should go for vaginal or a c/s.

Sometimes they will turn around on there own. My son was breech and about a week before I was due they did a procedure called a version. They gave me a sedative then manually turned him from the outside by pushing on my stomach. It worked. I would ask your doctor for more info.

35 weeks. If at 35 weeks and the baby has not turned, your baby is considered breech, and they will schedule you for a c-section.

Right up to delivery time. But nowadays, Dr's don't have the patience to wait, so, sorry more than likely it is going to be a C-Section. Yikes!!

Babies normally ride butt down until right before delievery. After all....would you want to ride around on your head? They fip-flop all over the place & can turn anytime.
