Well I love coal and don't worry i won't puke on anyone's presents. Damn retail end of Christmas. It is a religious holiday after all! All Christmas stuff in shops should be banned until 2 weeks before Christmas!

but Kj, and others, as I said above, Christmas is a religious holiday. It's ridiculous to think buying presents is all that makes it special. Last year we had no money so spent no more than 10euro on each other and it was the best Christmas ever! Crazy, whacky presents, instead of...I dunno, socks....anyway, no more Christmas talk!

Well, I see nothing wrong with that. I already have bought some Christmas gifts. Better now than at Christmas when prices go up so high because everyone is trying to get a gift at the last minute. If you are going to puke don't do it on my presents. OK?

The shops already selling stuff for Christmas aren't doing so for this Christmas, its the 2010 Christmas sale, there just getting ahead of the rest, we actually saw a guy with a freshly cut Christmas tree on his pick up today, scary, very scary.

Between immediate family for me and my husband we have about 20 people on our Christmas list, not including each other. If we don't start our shopping early in the year, it's a mad scramble at the end and a real drain for energy, time and money.
By starting early, you can shop when the stores are less crowded and you can spread the cost over several months and not all at once.

What a bunch of freakin' grumps you all are. LOL. Get your shopping done early and go out at the last minute on Christmas Eve and buy some stuff just for the fun of it. Never too early for xmas shopping.

Some of us do not like to wait until the last minute - there are only 4 months until Christmas - I buy for lots of people and enjoy taking my time ans shopping around!

It's just gotten out of hand. I figure by next year, the Christmas stuff should be out around the 4th of July. It's getting that bad. I was at a Cracker Barrel restaurant Saturday and it's all Christmas stuff. I definitely won't be buying from them.

Many people start early preparing for Christmas so they won't be so totally overwhelmed when it gets here. Many people have a lot of people to plan for. Quite often, people like to make the gifts they make, and you can't make them overnight. If you aren't into Christmas yet, then don't let it worry you. It's for the people who are.

Christmas is a big deal to some people--starting your shopping now can really take the strain off later.
