In the end will we be thankful that we had him as president?

Yes, I believe he does and that's why I think he's not the most popular president ever. Sometimes and maybe most of the time, the best decision isn't the one that we really want to make.

I'm sure in the beginning he was genuinely concerned about what's best for us...now, he might still be the same...but I'm sure that the hardships of being a president as all come down to human nature...the stress of being president has worn him down I'm sure...Now, he's probably still concerned, but things just might be more than he (one man) can take at times and therefore he has taken the easy or most direct route out at times.

Will we be thankful? That depends on how our country is doing a few years after his term, when we can see what state he has left the country in and when we can compare him to our next president.

No, Bush is by far the worst President that this country has ever had. Will we be thankful? No, we be spending the better part of the next two decades trying to repair our image as a country since Bush single handedly destroyed it in less then a term. Jan. 9 2009 can't come quick enough. He is an absolute disgrace.

I Think history will declare him to have been the worst president America has ever had and the only one to actually cause severe harm to the country. Not only that but he is also likely to be found by history to be the only Western world leader to consistently break international law and therefore not just Americas worst president but the Wests worst politician.

Absolutely !! Look at all the MAJOR issues he has faced.... Look at what was dumped in his lap upon taking the oath ... The country's economy was in a tailspin, terrorism had been ignored by the prior administration (the first attack on the World Trade Center & the attack on the USS Cole).

Name a recent President that has faced as many very difficult and complex issues that President George W. Bush has faced? The economy, Terrorism, the worst attack on our country in its history, the worst Tsunami the World has ever seen, the worst hurricane the World has ever seen, the Space Shuttle troubles, the recent second attempt to attack our country, etc, etc, etc.

Our President has faced many many difficult situations and has handled them all with tact and patience. Could you imagine having AlGore in office on 9/11 ??

We need to stand behind our President and support him in these very difficult times.

He's doing what HE thinks is the best for the United States. Mainly it's just what is best for the wealthiest Americans, which he considers himself to be.

I will NEVER be thankful that he was our president, thankful when he is gone!

I myself have never been a fan of Dubya, but you need to look at his Cabinet. THEY are his real advisors who tell him what's going on in and around the country and the world.

I know you don't actually believe what you have just said. Just name me one thing that would be memorable about Bush's presidency.
