I think stress builds on us. I know people always say to not let things bother you but I am human after all.

Depending on the person, the answer can be "yes" to both of them. For me, personally, I think we build stress upon ourselves because it is up to us to either let stress build up on us or to either do something about it. If you don't do anything about it you're basically letting the stress slowly take you over and then, I'm sorry to say this, but you feel like s***!..I used to think that stress is always building up on me, but when I really thought about it it was me letting it build up all along and not doing anything about it...so one thing I would do is to just go somewhere nice and quiet and peaceful and lay down in the sun or under a tree in some shade or even exercising helps a lot too...not only for the stress but for your body...so good luck and hope you won't have any more stressful days..

Stress is caused by the inability to cope with the pressures on us. So both can be correct.

It can be caused by a pesons inability to cope with the pressure or by too much pressure being placed on the person for them to handle.
