Trust me--I'm registered to vote, and I drive my friends crazy w/ telling them to vote. Although as a Texan, my vote is usually overshadowed by the right wing...it is frustrating b/c my people NEVER win in my state.

I think Kinky is awesome and will be a great governor. I've meet him several times throughout his campaign. He is a very sincere person who is very serious about becoming next governor of the great state of Texas. He has great ideas and is against policies that hurt Texas citizens, for example, the Trans Texas Corridor. About his chances of winning: I'm a volunteer for his campaign. We often get calls from long time republicans and democrats who are giving their support to Kinky. Surprisingly, most of those calls are Republicans. I guess Perry has pissed off too many.

If there is a large turnout to the polls in November, Kinky will win. Too many people are sick of business as usual and want more choices than "paper and plastic". It's time to take back Texas!

Go buy your yard signs!!!

I think he has a great chance. Its a 4-way race and there will be enough Democrats and Republicans voting for him to make things very tight. Politics here are so goofed up, its ridiculous and Kinky could go a long way toward making things right. God knows, the current governor, Bush-clone Perry, hasn't done much of anything other than really get things messed up. A lot of people are taking his candidacy lightly, thinking he doesn't have a chance, but he's going to surprise a lot of people. Some current polls show him winning, some show him losing or coming in 3d, but I don't think that's going to happen. GO KINKY!!!

By the way - hope you're registered to vote!!! And get your friends registered as well.

I am not a Texan but I have been watching him and think he makes great common sense. Believe I might consider voting for him if I were a Texan.

He wants to end exit exams to save money, but I haven't heard him talking about an end to bi-lingual (read, "double") printing of every state document and ballot. His slogan is "Why the hell not?" and that might get him elected, but he'll still have to convince me he's REAL reformer and not just another Liberal with a fancy song an dance.
