I'm looking for a favorite Nascar driver, so I'm wonder who grew up closest to my area.

I see none grew up close enough, so who should I root for?

Probably Denny Hamlin, who is from the N Virginia/ Washington DC area. He's also having the best rookie season since Jimmie Johnson in 2002.
Plus the FedEx commericials are hilarious!

It doesnt matter where they grew up. every driver is good in some way. I suggest you choose. Kevin Harvick or Matt Kenseth or Kasey Kahne. They're the best. But please dont choose Dale Earnhardt Jr. or Jeff Gordon.
The way I chose is When The first time I went to a Nascar race was In LAS VEGAS. where I live. first race I went to was won by Kevin Harvick and second was by Matt Kenseth.
