It doesn't when its done right and with the right person. Its when people invest their feelings or when they convince themselves something is 'love' that really isn't that it hurts. Besides, think of all the other good things in life that can go so bad and cause such pain....that great new car that you love, wreck it and suddenly its all bad, eat too much of that delicious cake and that goes badly too. Love is no different than anything else, you still have to use your common sense about it and you still have to THINK, many people just lose that ability when they are 'in love'.

Most of us associate love with happiness but sometimes the opposite reigns supreme.To be in love means you have to accept both pain and happiness.Love means you have to live without any form of suspicion and have faith and trust.In short, love is about tolerance.
But how many of us tolerate love issues?Real love does not need drugs as an impetus coz the after effects of going through the hallucinatory phase usually leads to hurtful feelings.Even those of a sober habit also show no wisdom towards love issues.
Love is accepting to be hurt and to try and convert that hurt into happiness oblivious of what others might think.But all in all,love is a passionate affection of someone and until we appreciate it in its literal sense then we are bound to hurt each other.

Love is a wonderful thing, there's no doubt about it. Anyone who has experienced true love will know what I'm talking about. It hurts so bad when when you are no longer able to be with the person who you love truly, madly, deeply, because you have given your heart and soul to that person and for whatever reason they are no longer a part of your life. It is like grief and takes time to heal

Dont you see? The answer is in the question already. It is a wonderfull thing so when something goes wrong with it it hearts badly and sometimes it never heals.

Cos when its going good it really feels really good and heady and fabulous. Its the opposite of when it all goes bollox up and hurts so much.
