Hmm. How do I say this? Upon reviewing some sex pornography I realized that sex LOOKS painful. I guess it remains me of a tampon stuck inside.

I mean, just the thought of thrusting or pounding your partner is not that much of a turn on.

Plus the pained face of the partner and the "Ahh! Oooh!"

I don't get it. I guess its just the way I am (seeing stuff so objectively). Then, I am a theology major. Not very much encouragement for a virgin.

Has anyone else thought about this?

I'm not church affliated for the nun answers.

And also, why do I have to be 12 to ask a question about sex, Dr? Are all girls over 12 sexually active?

Porn is not a true representation of the sexual act. It is a gross manifestation about what guys think would be a good turn on for sex. Porn differs from culture to culture etc. In Japanese porn the woman is portrayed to have a very painful experience during the sex act. Now this is funny since the Japanese male models all seem to be "wanting" in the size department (i.e. "tennie wiennie"). But this paints the Japanese man in a picture of "power". Most of the American porn has men with large acoutrements pounding away at a young woman. This is not the typical male and it is not the typcal sex act.

In the real sex act the first ime is typically painful but from then on it is not (unless you have a partner that is the marked opposite of "tennie wiennie"). This is evidenced by the multitudes of women who engage in sexual congress with men.

In reality sex is a beautiful expression of love between two (hopefully married) people. However if you venture too much in the porn arena then you could end up on the "Dark Side" of porn. This is where you like the "high" you get from the scene, but you delve deeper into stronger porn becasue of the higher high you get (i.e. multiple partners, swingers, fetishes etc). What area you get into is dependent on what your particular personality is made up from. In porn there is "a lid for every pot". It is very dangerous to hang out there for long. It can skew your definitions of normal in a short time.

"We have to protect ourselves from ourselves"

Check out the following web site (It's not porn). It's a site for guys but many women find it useful. It can answer you questions better than I can. It will also give you a "bird's eye" view into a guy's psyche.

Porn tends to have guys with a foot long penis putting his thing into some very fit and tight woman. As the other guy said, sex is not painful (it might be for the 1st few times for virgin girls) but it does get amazing. If you are young, dont rush into it, wait to the legal age and make sure you find the right guy/girl. Half of those that say they have had sex are not being truthful anyways !!

Funny you should mention that. Sex is not just a physical act. It is a spiritual act as well. We are helping to create LIFE!
When one first experiences sex, they tap into the spiritual dimension of it. That's why many fall madly in love with thier first.
After that, they are forever trying to feel that again. By getting more abberated in their sexual desires. Equivocating pain with
pleasure.
Ever hear couples who have been together a long time say that
sex only gets better with time. They are experiencing the
spiritual dimension of sex. LOVE, for which there is no
substitute.

Porn has very little to do with the act of sex between two emotionally committed partners, so your research is skewed.

I could go on, but if you plan to remain a virgin through the church, any further comment is unneccesary.

It doesn't hurt. Really...

The "Ahh! Oooh!" 's are supposed to be "Ahh! Oooh!" 's of pleasure.

You know what happens when you have sex? Pupils dilate, arteries constrict, core temperature rises, heart races, blood pressure skyrockets, respiration becomes rapid and shallow, the brain fires bursts of electrical impulses from nowhere to nowhere, and secretions spit out of every gland, and the muscles tense and spasm like you're lifting three times your body weight. It's violent. It's ugly. And it's messy.

If God hadn't made it UNBELIEVABLY fun, the human race would have died out eons ago.

If your tampon hurts your not putting it in right,
Sex is painful only if your partner doesn;t know what he or she is doing, if your a virgin great, stay that way until you meet that special person. Don't have sex just to prove a piont

Sexual understanding is something that everyone goes through too.

Your at a stage where it might seem a big turnoff. Until your hormones start telling you otherwise .

It will happen. Everyone has this same feeling too.

Kinda gross and disgusting and painful but when your actually at that point of wetness and orgasm, you will remember why.

Sex is painfull , but in a pleasurable way. One yells because there enjoying it, the ''pounding'' as you call it causes excitement. Its painfull at first if your a virgin but that will only last a second then your enjoy it. That was what it was for me I thought sex was nasty and that I'd never do it , but I one day changed my mind.

I guess the only answer I can give you is that sex is not really as much of a topic for thought as it is for action.

It defies logic, but it is very easily understandable.

A theology major explains all we need to know about you honey. All you would do is lay there anyway so just go ahead and become a nun
