need to find out how to replace the belt

Get a shop manuel first.
If you broke the belt, you may have bent some valves... the early chrysler motors WERE interference motors. If that's the case it's not worth fixing.

Not too tough,
The serpentine belt is not the timing belt......The timing belt is a whole 'nother story
Look on the cowling of the engine, just over the radiator there should be a diagram of how the belt is .then find the tension pulley this will be located as an idler in the path of the belt fit a wrench in it. usually a 3/8 drive rachet or leverage bar will fit. Pull the tensioner in a direction that loosens the belt.....BE SURE YOU LOOK AT HOW THE BELT IS ROUTED, remove the old belt and palce the new belt in the same routing as the old.
then release the bar holding the tensioner.

Guy #2 is on the right track, guy #1 thinks you mean a timing belt. Go with #2.
