how do I stay calm,?

My lmp was 6-22-2006, no question about it! putting me at 9 wks 4 days. I had a transverse ultrasound today which revealed the gestational sac about 6 weeks. the sonographer got the doctor who was also able to see the yolk sac, but no pole. I go back in one week for another tus. My doctor will be monitoring my hcg levels. I realize that even exact lmp date can cause some fluctuation in gestational age and that this is fairly common this early on, and my pregnancy history has been ideal, but I am so scared.

You could have been pregnant on 6/22 and had a miscarriage that you wouldn't have noticed. And subsequently you could have gotten pregnant a second time from having sex around July 4 or thereabouts. July 4 would place you at about 6 weeks pregnant.

There's a theory that about 50% of ob's believe and 50% don't that your body can re-absorb a fetus within the first month without bleeding and you may never realize you're pregnant.

I don't want to freak you out, but another possibility is that your baby is just a bit smaller than "average" right now. When I was pregnant with my younger son, I had an ultrasound right before delivery because my doc didn't think he was ready. His femur size was at 43wks, his head was 37wks and his torso was at 39wks. That's because Jake is really tall and lanky like his father. I was at 37 1/2wks when I went into labor. So don't panic yet. Talk to your doctor and hopefully they can reassure you.

Not all women ovulate right on schedule. Maybe you ovulated at a different time. As long as you have seen a doctor and they say everyting looks fine, then just let it be.
