THE MOST IMPORTANT THING WHEN TRYING OUT IN BASKETBALL AND TRYING TO IMPRESS THE COACH IS TO ALWAYS HUSTLE!!! Coaches love to see players who play defense great and keep on running suicides faster than everyone else...Skill is only important once you make the team, but first you have to show that you can keep up with the team.

run as much as you can until you cant run anymore then go just a little further. jump a lot and build the muscles in your legs and arms.

one more thing SHOOT BASKETBALL EVERYDAY if you can play with others in school that would be great

also hustle is very big in the eyes of a coach. it doesn't matter if you only hit less than 50%v if you hustle the coach may still pick you

I'm not to sure about drills. But as far as dominating in sports goes I've always just practiced harder and longer then anyone I knew. Practice an hour longer than the best player on your team and soon enough he'll be trying to be as good as you.

IF YOU WOULD HAVE READ QUESTIONS FROM YESTERDAY AND THE DAY BEFORE AND THE DAY BEFORE THAT YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN WHAT TO DO. BUT YOU MUST BE A LAZY DIK AS THAT YOU JUST ASKED A REPETITIVE QUESTION.
YOU COULD HAVE SAVED 10 POINTS AND NOT LET PEOPLE KNOW YOU ARE LAZY AND DUMB.

SO

YOU NEED TO RUN. RUN SPRINTS. RUN THE MILE IN UNDER 7 MINUTES. RUN MORE SPRINTS. RUN BACKWARDS AND DO POWER SLIDES. DO LAY UPS. JUMP ROPE FOR 5 MINUTES. 1 MINUTE AT A TIME.

READ MAN READ....................... PAY ATTENTION

LOVE YA.

wind sprints. lots and lots of wind sprints. build up your stamina.
do lots of leg excercises like stairs and calf raises which should help your vertical leap. with some rise in your step, things will be a lot easier. also practice your shooting through pick up games or by practicing those "hard" shots like fade aways and long distance shots.

practice ball handling, shooting..shooting..shooting...also, get your wind up...not so much from distance running, but several short sprints...suicide drills...run stairs....and shoot, shoot, shoot...tryouts are short,,,you need to make an impression..be in good enough shape to hustle, be sharp enough mentally to hone into your instincts..and shoot shoot shoot! 500 15-20 ft jumpers a day, regardless of position...
