I'm halfway through my pregnancy and you can barely tell I'm pregnant. It worries me, for some reason I'm so paranoid that I'll have a dwarf baby or something. I guess everyone worries like this? Also, I'm having a problem quitting smoking. I'm taking Zyban to assist ... and I have slowed down, but haven't quit yet. Guess I should just be patient??

I'm 25 and nowhere near immature, lol. Quitting smoking is VERY difficult, I've come to realize.

My Dr prescribed the Zyban. It's 99% safe during pregnancy.

Some women, especially those who are small to begin with, won't show until late in their pregnancy. I am 10 weeks and I am already showing. None of my pants fit. Your smoking can affect the size and birth weight of your baby. I know it's hard ( been there doing that) but you have to just quit.

Try your hardest to quit smoking as this can cause the baby to have low birth weight or have nicotine withdrawls after birth. I had 2 friends that just had babies & each problem happened to them because they smoked while pregnant. That could be affecting how well you are showing but at the same time it can be completely normal. I read a story a while back about a girl who was pregnant & her stomach stayed flat the entire time because the baby just grew up into her rib cage instead of out. When I was younger one of my aunts didn't get too big (if at all!) with her last child.....I didn't even know she was pregnant until she gave birth!

Dont worry! When I was 9 months pregnant with my baby it looked like if I was 3! My baby was a healthy 6 lbs 7 oz! I always wanted the big belly and I didnt get it. As for the smoking I just want to ask " Do you love your baby? If you had to do it to sav your baby's life would you?"

don't stress- if this is your first baby, it takes a little longer to show. You probably noticed that you have lost your waist a little, and are getting thicker around the middle. It is pretty normal not to show much by 20 weeks. I didn't really look pregnant until about the middle of my 7th month. Be patient: that bump will be out there soon enough!

With both my pregnancies I was around 5-6 months before you could really tell. I gained around 20-25 pounds during both pregnancies. Talk to your doctor about weight gain and the size of your baby. He/she can help you out a lot more than we can.

Enjoy it before you start showing. As for the cigarettes, maybe that is why you are barely showing. Smoking causes low birth weight and it is possible the baby just doesn't need as much room yet. Good luck sweetie and I hope everything goes well.

Yeah, depending on your body, it takes some women until 7 months to start to look pregnant. Especially with your first pregnancy, you don't start showing until the second half of your pregnancy.
Don't worry, as long as you're going to your appointments and the doctors don't say anything, it's completely fine. Sometimes it takes a while to start showing. :o)

ITS A GOOD THING TO STOP SMOKING if you really care for your unborn baby.... and I have a friend that just had her baby boy...she didnt show till she was 6 months and a half...sometimes its genetics ask your mom if she was big or small when she was pregnant...but on the real you should STOP SMOKING OR ELSE YOUR BABY GON" COME OUT...i don't even wanna say the words...YOU SHOULD CHECK YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT THIS AND SEARCH THE INTERNET....OR ELSE PEOPLE WILL BE THINKING OF YOU AS A IRRESPONSIBLE ADULT AND BLAME YOU FOR WHATEVER IT WILL CAUSE YOUR UNBORN BABY IN THE FUTURE EVEN YOUR FAMILY WILL GIVE YOU LESS CREDIT..

It's normal to not show for a while. I didn't show til about 7 months.
Good luck quitting cigarettes. Everytime you take a puff just imagine your baby's veins filling up with cancerous toxins. Have you read the label on the side of the box?
