Yes and no. Depends on what kind of acne you have. If it just an oily skin, then it work great, if it batcerial then maybe not. The reason ppl use toothpaste is because of the florlide it has in the toothpaste.

As a Beauty Therapist I can only advise you that toothpaste will only topically work & very temporarily. The cause of acne is bacteria, to get rid of bacteria you need to cleanse your face thoroughly daily with a good essential oil based cleanser that contains tee trea oil, as this is an antiseptic essential oil & a good cleanser for acne prone skin & try using Witch Hazel as a Toner after washing your face with a cleanser.Soap will only dry your skin out, But will not help your acne/pimples unless it has healing properties in it.A spot blemish cream will work as well.I know toothppaste works for mosquito bites not pimples.Have a try if you choose to.

If you apply toothpaste to a new pimple, then it will draw it more to a head. The pimple now will have tooth paste inside! This dries out a pimple but seems to leave a sore. I think this works for people who barely gets pimples. If pimples are the problem, then check CVS for a generic product called "benzoyl peroxide". THis is the same ingredient for ProActiv and other pimple removing products. Keeping skin less oily, drying out pimples, and repairing skin as you would a scar... should keep your skin looking great. Sometimes foods can trigger bumps; usually acid or grease. hope i answered ya question, lol, good luck1

It can, but it is not recommended. Toothpaste has agents in it that can literally be too drying, which can casue further breakouts; and already broken out skin to become more painful and slow to healing properly. Seek an acne cleansing system that gently sloughs off dead skin cells, offers medicative properites that will not overdry the skin, and add a moisture level to help aid in the healing process. I know of an awesome system that has helped many people I know personally. Contact me if you want to know more.

It would probably work on acne not to severe. But if you have bad acne, I would try something like Proactiv and once you use it all up and your acne is a little better, then use the toothpaste!

I have used toothpaste to remove some acne. I suggest you try it on one pimple because it can burn a bit. I usually use it over night and wash it off in the morning. You may have to repeat the process depending on how bad it is.

All that I know is that my German friend used it whenever she was here and was bitten by a mosquito. She swore by toothpaste for that so I don't see why it wouldn't work for acne as well.

Good Luck

depends. it's supposed to dry your skin out. you know what really works? get some eye drops for red eyes, like Visine or something. put it on your acne and it'll make it less red so it's easier to cover with coverup or some sort of makeup.

I would definitely try Proactiv. If you are compliant with the 3 steps you will see a major difference.
