I my opinion, i think he may be paid by the real killer to cover for him
He could be the real killer though

He's totally insane. He's been preoccupied with cases like hers (and hers in particular) because he probably would LIKE to commit such a horrible crime and gets satisfaction just thinking about it.
He's been rewarded by all the media attention and I think that's a real shame.

Because someone put it in his head that he did such a terrible thing... He is a very sick man.. But we have thousand of these nuts running all over our country... Our tax money is not being used to keep these kinds of people off our streets.. and locked up...

He's a pathetic individual. He was going to be charged in Thailand. Who wants to go to jail there? I think he wanted a free ride back from Uncle Sam. He knew he wouldn't be charged for the crime for long.
