Please, more detail. The question is too broad. What kind of music are you talking about? Jazz, blues, rock, classical, etc.?

To ask for "good" songs is a beauty question. Good to one person may not be good to another. Generally, you just have to listen to the artists and judge their efforts for yourself.

There are some songs that are viewed by many as being of particular importance for one reason or another -- free speech songs, anti-discrimination songs, a song that heralded in a new music age (Delta 88 from Sun Records, for example), or because they created a new sound (Motown, Phil Spector's "wall of sound", etc. These could also be called "good" songs, though for a very different reason than simply liking them.

Is this for the guitar or just for you info? Anyway here goes: These are just off the top of my head:

"Garden Party" - Ricky Nelson
"I'm Allright, Pretty Baby" - (I think that is what they called it) - Elvis Pressley- has a lot of guitar in it.
"Dark Haired Cajun Woman" - Doby Brothers
"Swamp Music" - Doby Brothers
"T for Texas" - Lynard Skynard (don't know how to spell his name) - He has a lot of good ones.
"American Woman" - Jimmie Hendrix
"All she wants to do is dance" - (don't remembere the group that does this one) remember Coyote Ugly?
"Club at the End of the STreet" - Elton John
"Blue Bayou" - (woman singer)
" Night Train" -
"Blue Suede Shoes" - Elvin Pressley
"Dreams are Made of This" - Dean Martin
"Mac the Knife" - Bobby Darin (hope that is the right last name spelling)
"CC Rider" - Elvis Pressley
"Blue Berry Hill" - Fats Dominio
"I love a Rainy Night" - Eddie Rabbit (could be early 80's)
"Proud Mary" - Tina Turner
"CC Rider" - Aretha Franklin (diff. version)
"Respect" - Aretha Franklin
"WE are Family "( my sisters and me) Pointer Sisters(
( a lot of good ones from the Pointer Sisters) Just look up their songs
"Anything You Want" - Roy Oberson
Well, at least you have some artists, good luck.
I have 60 CD's with lots of these older songs, but did not label them, unfortunatly.
Look up Santana, lots of good stuff from him. This is in the 70's
Donna Summers, Bee Gees, their famous Disco songs... "Staying Alive" - Bee Gees
"Me and Bobbie McGee" -Janis Jopliln
"Leaving on a Jet Airplane" - Janis Jopliln
"Car Wash" -
"Funky Town"
"Operator" -
"Living in the USA" - (woman singer)
any of Creedence Clearwater? (I think that was his last name) - look up his songs in that time, he had all good songs, about the Buyou, New Orleans /Cajun type of songs.
Nat King Cole, just lots of his songs were good. Good dance music. Romantic type.
Ricky Nelson did a lot then, just look him up too.
Hope I was helpful. There is just so much out there in those years. Also Frank Sinatra - Chicago, etc.
