Hi
You can have the baby shower anytime you would like to. Typically people wait until the last trimester so the mom looks pregnant. A good rule of thumb is to be at least 7 months for the belly but not too close to the delivery date in case of an early arrival.
Here is a great website I found that has tons of baby shower ideas.
Good Luck!

I would think of haiving the shower about 6 weeks before the baby is due. This way the mom to be wont have to panic about all the things they need to buy before the baby and they can get the room all set up. Also the mom will still be feeling pretty good at this time. I remember being happy that my shower was when it was since the week afer I felt lousy and started having pain. I may have had to miss my own shower. I dont know of any web sites for baby showers. I am not sure if you are looking for ideas for party favors or what to do for the party? You can get all kinds of things at party stores, craft stores, or make things yourself?

Doesn't really matter. I've been to baby showers where the mom was only 5 months and I had my baby 2 weeks after my shower. It was supposed to be 4 weeks, but she came early. So I suggest no closer to the birth than 6 weeks.

I am 36 weeks pregnant now and I am having my baby shower on September 10th. That is cutting it close. My last pregnancy I had the baby the week before my baby shower. And usually someone else throws you a baby shower.

These are usually held toward the end of your pregnancy but can be held any time. They are usually thrown by friends or family and the location and what not are kept secret from the mom. As for good sites:
Here are a few we used when we did mine in March

Oh yeah and congrats on the new baby!

At least 7 months, you dont want to have all the stuff and something happen to the baby. Best bet wait until 8 months.
