Look at it like this dude you're not going on tour forever and your family will be there when you get back. If it's something you really want to do you should because I only book shows for bands in my area and I never go to go out on tour when I was in a band and I wish I could have. You may never have the oppourtunity again and I wouldn't pass it up. You can call your family everyday and its like the best of both worlds.

hey man u should seriously take a chance, a dare, u will grow character and balls on this trip, and u will learn so much about the world and yourself, just do it once, you'll never know less u go, experience, also u have to trust the people on the tour, to even think about going with them, think about that as well. other than that I'm a musician and if u play your cards and cords right u will reach enlightenment.

You should go, this could probably be a once in a lifetime chance, or a really unforgettable moment, so you should go. The ones you love will understand. After all, they do want the best for you??

Go!!! You'll have so much fun, get some good exposure, cut the cord with your family, have serious stories to tell when you get back, and grow while you're away...all the while knowing that you get to come home when you're done! It's not like you'll be gone forever!

don't be scared. go on tour! this is a band thing, not an individual thing. come to a decision together! just don't kick yourself when you miss your chance to be a rockstar!

It's not like you would never see it again, its like going to sleep away camp for a few months, only you get to see the whole country, play great music, and get discovered.
I would say go for it.

if this will be a one in a lifetime oppertunity than i would take it and keep in contact with the people that you love but if its not that important then i would forget about it.
