(2/3n) + 4 = 10 - 4/3n

move terms;

2/3n + 4/3n = 10 - 4

take 1/3n common on LHS

1/3n (2 + 4) = 10 - 4

so, 6/3n = 6

3n = 1

n = 1/3

b)
-55 - 4n = 13

then -4n = 13 + 55
-4n = 68

Divide both sides by -4

n = -17

This is a proportional problem

2/3n + 4 = 10 - 4/ 3n

Multiply the means and multiply the extremes

2(3n) = (3n + 4) (10 - 4)

(3n + 4)(10 -4)= 30n + 40 -12n - 16 = 18 n + 24 Using the FOIL method Or the distributive Properity

6n = 18 n + 24

- 18n - 18n

subtracting - 18 n from both sides

- 12n = 24

-12n/12 = 24-12

Dividing both sides by both sides

n = - 2

The answer is n = -2

(2/3)n + 4 = 10 - (4/3)n
(2/3)n + (4/3)n = 10 - 4
2n = 6
n = 3

-55 - 4n = 13
-4n = 68
n = -17

okay if the question is
2 = 10 - 4
------ -------
3n+4 3n
then you cross multiply and you get 2(3n)= 3n+4 (6)
then you solve for n: 6n= 3n (6) +4(6)
6n= 18n +24
0= 12n +24
-24=12n
-2=n

the next one you just solve for n: -55 - 4n= 13
you get your like terms together: -4n= 68
n= -17

I Understand the question this way :
(2/3)*n+4=10-(4/3)*n
2*n/3 + 4*n/3 =10 -4
6*n/3 = 6
2*n=6
n=3
It depends is it 2/3n or 2n/3

2/3n+4=10-4/3n
3(2/3n+4=10-4/3n)3
2n+12=20-4n
+4n-12 -12+4n
6n=8
n=??

-4n-55=13
-4n=68
n=?
