I thought i twas pretty good , but just checking to see what the consensus was because i was a little iffy about it. I love johnny cash music, jus the movie could have been better.

I saw it and really enjoyed it. I have read reviews saying that the characters in the movie did not really reflect what Johnny and June were like in real life. This didn't bother me because when it comes to biographical movies, I usually just think of them as fiction anyway. I don't know if they're true to life, and it doesn't matter - that's not why I watch them. On the other hand, I can see where it might be lacking for someone who cares about accuracy in the portrayal of characters in biographical movies.

I must be honest I was not a great fan of Johnny Cash before watching this film, but now I would buy this records; I think this saids it all !

I thought was OK - I thought Phoenix was great as Johnny Cash, but didn't understand why Resse Witherspoon won for Best Actress - I thought there were better performances that year...

I've seen it. It was ok. I'm not a fan of country music. And I found it distracting to listen to Joaquin talk like that. I realize that he was talking like Johnny Cash, but he sounded so GOOFY.

i know nothing of Johnny Cash and won't be buying his cds, but I thought the movie was interesting. The performances were great (nothing to compare them too since I don't know the artist they were playing but they played believable people).
Good overall.

I've seen. I think I own it. (I have a problem resisting those Blockbuster 3 for $20 specials.)
It was pretty good. Of course, if is a film so nothing is quite on the mark. But then, you knew that, didn't you. ; )

i saw it after fighting tooth and nail....i DID NOT want to see that movie as i am not a fan....but i did see it and i gotta say if i come across it on dvd im buying it....to me the whole point of this particular movie was not to chronicle his life or career but to show the depth of love that he had for june carter
