Too many uncertain variables in your question to answer it as a question of law. However, my cousin Bulldog has a used gun business and, if you've got the bucks, you can buy the bang. Depends on the state. If you were on a felony rap, you need to apply to the governor of your state to have that and voting rights re-instated.

if you have been convicted of a crime where you COULD have been jailed for more than a year, or convicted of domestic abuse, then you can never legally own a gun again.
