Do grave vines climb, like ivy? What are good wine grapes for Wisconsin's climate? How many pounds per vine can you reap?

I"m in SE Wisconsin and we have grapes growing along our fence...so they do like to climb. Actually, if you don't trim them once in awhile, they'll grow right up surround trees.

I do not know the variety (wish I did) but they're purple, large and very sweet. Extremely strong growers. My in-laws have been picking the grapes for years and make a lot of grape juice.

I don't know how many pounds per vine you could reap. A lot of that will depend on the grape variety you plant, soil and weather conditions for that particular year.

Wish I could help out more.
