Yes, the exploration, utilization, and colonization of space is the single most important thing human beings could ever do. It's vital for freedom and vital for the survival of our species. We're all stuck here and a giant meteor, plague, or nuclear war could destroy us all. Once we're securely out in space there's nothing to stop us.

In my opinion, not at this time! NASA has done nothing of great significance since the last moon landing. The International Space Station is nothing but a rag tag collection of tin cans in space. Only when the government gets out of the space business and private enterprise begins to develop space based programs, will there be any real progress in space.

Ones opinion: You need employment opportunities for people with advanced specialized degrees. Hoping some of these people use skills learned to help with many problems we now face. The development of Teflon never was big selling point for me. The funding that went into development of micro computer chip seem to have payed off big time.

yes, especially if you're gonna be around when the sun goes out (actually several million years before). where should the money go? big business? special interest? lazy )(*&% , who we joyfully support through the defunct ss retirement fund & other extorted earned wages? or maybe to the homeless - i'll go for the mentally ill or non-self induced physically disabled - the rest need to learn self reliance, get some real confidence/pride & a job.

Yes, if we want to get out of this world alive. Space Exploration may already be too late. Did you see what happened to Jupiter or Saturn when that asteroid hit it?

NASA is a big overpriced science experiment. other than launching of satellites NASA and all of there deep space probes is a waste of money better spent.
