It can take a few days or up to a week to get a baby used to having a different formula. Give it a few more days and see what happens. I was concerned about my son spitting up a lot before he switched to soy formula from the milk based. I thought he would not gain weight, but his doctor told me that when a baby spits up they are not spitting up the entire feeding. Most of what comes back up is mucus and baby is actually getting enough to eat.

You know as soon as I saw your question I started laughing because it's as if you described what I went through when my daughter was a few months old. Anyway she was also on Isomil, (Similacs soy formula) and then I also got a coupon for a free can of Nestle Goodstart soy formula! Well formula gets expensive so I tried it. BAD IDEA!! The entire day and day after I tried it she was vomitting and had really bad diarreah. It was so bad that I had to take her to the hospital because she got dehydrated! The doctor told me that I should switch back immediately and said exactly, " Think about it, What does nestle specialize in making? Chocolate bars." Which is so true. Yeah it's cheaper but it's not worth seeing your baby getting sick over it. So I learned from it. I switched her back right away and never tried another formula brand!

My son had that problem at first with Nestle Good Start, but after a few times, he was able to keep it down, and he seemed to like it better than the Similac Isomil. Plus I always thought the Similac just smelled so bad.
We also discovered the Enfamil Anti-spit up formula, and we use that along with the Nestle goodstart. So if spit up happens a lot, you might want to check that out also.
Good luck with your little one!

That will happen no matter which brand you switch to. Its the switching formula thats upset her. I swear by Nestle Goodstart....it is awesome for babies because of the comfort proteins that are in it. What this means is that the protein in the formula is already broken down so it is easier for baby to digest, this is especially helpful for babies whose digestive system is highly sensitive.
If your baby continues to spit up to the point where you do not feel comfortable with the situation try Enfamil Nutrigamen....its hypoallergenic but it smells like dogfood.

Hi I'm a pediatric nurse so here goes. I would switch back to similac and see if she still is spitting up. Also let the pediatrician know and let him weight her to make sure she is not losing weight. If she continues to spit up let me know. Good luck

Hi shaye,i wish the best for your daughter. You didn't mentioned how long your baby was on the Similac formula and how it worked on her.I Would recommend you talk to your pediatrician and see what he or she recommends.I wouldn't change the Similac if its not bothering her. GOD BLESS.Good luck.

If its basically a pair circumstances an afternoon, you haven't any longer something to agonize approximately. maximum toddlers might have a splash spit up a pair of times after each bottle. additionally, if she hasn't been on the formulation very long provide her a splash time, it takes their bodies a speedy time to alter considering formulation is harsher than breast milk. in case you sense she is spitting up too plenty, attempt a tender formulation, like Enfamil Gentlease. aim and Walmart the two make knock offs of this and the climate are comparable. i exploit aim style and my son loves it.

Well for one you are not suspose to just switch formulas. You need to do this gradually,if not it will bother her stomach.Mix the two formulas together to get her use to it for a few days. You will mess her digestive system up by just taking her off of one and starting a new one.

Give it time! Babies need about a week to adjust to new formula. But if you switch back, it would be wise NOT to switch again.
