I don't pay much attention to them - I honestly hadn't linked their names with the phenonemon. I didn't expect them to appear so silly.

To be honest, I'm not sure I understand your question.
Well, as the dude above said, there's Def Leppard.
Then there's "Kitty"- they're death metal chicks, though.
And, there's The Great Kat- she's this metal thrashing madwoman who has done metal covers of some famous classical pieces...such as Beethoven's 5th.
Then there's Faster Pussycat- the glam rockers from the 80s'
I just saw a video on VH1, on the METAL MANIA segment...it was these hard rocker chicks, with some sort of kitty cat name...but the name of the band eludes me. They were a band from the early 80's, I think. I'll probably go look that one up.
