was single and wanted kids. I have two kids and Myspace has "don't want kids" and I'm married and it put me as single. I go to EDIT PROFILE but it's not in that section to edit. What did I do wrong?
ALSO, I found a background I want to use but how do I put it on Myspace? I feel really stupid -- but I'm new to it. THANK YOU.

If you go back to Edit Profile, there are different tabs you can select, such as Basic Info and Background and Lifestyle. You can make changes to those to suit your preferences.
As for your background... if you search google for MySpace Layout generators it will give you links to sites that will give the code you need and tell you how to put your background on your Space.

The first thing you do is go to the edit profile section(push the icon). The editing section of myspace will appear and then you should see the Headline editing part. Under the words "Profile Edit"(the tile for this section of the myspace) you have several different categories that you will have different types of options to change. I don't really know exactly how to use the background feature but I think you have to copy the HTML text of the background and the paste it into the "about me" section.

I think that's the default setting, so if you don't remember giving such info, then Myspace automatically says that.
But just go on Edit Profile at the top of the blue box on your homepage and then click on Background & Lifestyle.
As for the background copy this and paste it into any section such as About Me.

Don't feel stupid. The person who has fallen down on the job is the one who designed the questionnaire and set up the program. It isn't very user friendly if it makes up answers for you and doesn't let you make corrections or change backgrounds.

myspace has glitches like that- i tutor ppl about making pages there- just re edit your profile and do it again1

go to edit profile and then on the tabs at the top, click "background" or "basic", and I think you can edit that on one of those. =]
