Only for a little while. They really need more room than that when fully grown. The exo terra things work great for frogs etc... but even the largest really isn't big enough for a panther (IMO).

no chameleons do not live well in a glass cage at all they feel very cramped and need the open air habitats of screen cages and for the money you are going to pay for a panther, dont get cheap on the cage panthers are some of the largest chameleons and need the most room. dont use aluminum screen cages either exot-terra sells cages specificly for chameleons they are large soft screened and fairly sturdy there what i use for my jacksons

they make great homes. my panther is about 6-7 months old and he probably wont outgrow it for a year or so,so if you cant afford a bigger terrarium, start with an exo-terra, especially if you like to handle your chameleon(easy-access doors).

No. Chameleons do better in an open air(mesh) cage. Glass cages stresses them out also. Chameleons are solitary reptiles and often attack own reflection in glass cages. You can buy mesh cages from customcages.com for as low as $30 dollars. You just need 2 heat lights, one for uv and another as a nighttime heat source.

No. chameleons should have an all screen cage. They need the airflow etc. of an "open" tank.

24 inches seems rather small for a chameleon. additionally, bear in ideas they pick top, no longer width. they pick to climb and experience extra shelter extreme up. in addition they pick various air flow, that's yet another reason to maintain them in a cage somewhat than a pitcher terrarium.
