A lot of ob/gyn's won't see you until you're at least 10wks; because the risk of miscarriage is higher in early pregnancy. But your doc might be different, so call and see. After that you should start out by buying some prenatal vitamins, eating healthy, stop smoking (if you're a smoker,) don't drink alcohol, and let nature take it's course. A good book for first time parents is "What to Expect When You're Expecting." It has tons of information and answers a lot of questions that expecting parents have. I'm on my 3rd baby and bought the book again to help answer some things that I hadn't experienced with my first two. You can buy it from Amazon, or your local book store. It usually runs about $15 new. And lastly - Congratulations and good luck!! =)

Get healthy.
You have 8 more months to give this baby the best start you can. What you do during those 8 months w/ affect this human being the rest of their lives! this is the start of the most important thing you'll ever do. Do it RIGHT!!
Eat more veggies! Get prenatal care! Quit smoking! Get lots of exerise. Right about now you'll want a nap. The 1st few months most pregnant women are onstntly tired, it's a hormone thing. Get lots of sleep & don't let anyone tell you you're lazy.
Read about what is going on w/ you & the baby inside you. During the last trimester, the babies brain w/grow more than it ever will again. At birth brain growth drops off (but is still quite rapid) then at ~2 yrs old it drops again. By 5 yrs oldthe brain has done nearly all the growing it will ever do. So,brain nutrition is critical to brain growth. Tofu is a great brain food. I ate a lb of Tofu everyday of my last trimester w/ each of my kids. One knew his right from his left @ 2 yrs old. I was reading him a book that mentioned it & he held up a hand & asked me if that was his left hand, I never had to tell him again. He was reading at 3 & independantly at 5 yrs old. He knew +/-/* & / before he went into kindergarden. He could add & subtract numbers under 20 in his head before kindergarden. His fatehr & I are bright.... butnothinglike that! HIs brothers IQ has been tested @ 155-185. Nutrition works!!!

Start taking pre-natal vitamins and get a book on pregnancy. You don't need a perscription for vitamins. They sell these over the counter and any brand or generic brand as long as it has folic acid in it will be fine. Also make an appointment to see an OB as soon as you can. If you smoke or drink, stop right away. It's also important that you be carful and not take Advil or asprin as these can harm the baby.
