yes, its normal. my husband and i are trying as well, its alot harder then it seems. at first he was buying me baby toys and onesies and it was all fun and cute, and exciting. now, it just makes me miserable whenever i see anything baby-related. and he wonders why too...i told him i just hate getting my hopes up and having so many baby toys in our place makes it all so much harder. maybe you two should start trying earlier? i know it takes an average couple about a year to concieve. if you two are both ready and commited to the idea, then it might make her feel better about it all. talk to a doctor, if you both have any concerns or questions, and in the meantime let her know things will be okay. maybe hide some of the baby stuff for a while too...thats what i did lol. good luck to you both!!

She's being smart by avoiding the things that depress her. It's not the same as sticking her head in the sand regarding a problem that she is a part of. It's the best she can do with this situation so you might as well follow her lead until you can have a baby.

It can be quite daunting when it finally comes time to try for a baby. I think it's fair for her to want to wait until she's pregnant. I didn't buy anything until I was pregnant, I thought I might jinx things. Don't push her, it's obvious she still wants a baby.
Congratulations for wanting to be prepared for the baby, too bad more parents don't think ahead like you.

sounds like she just has the baby bug. she might be fearful that she won't be able to conceive. you sound like a nice and concerned husband. you can probably just gently ask her what is upsetting to her about baby stuff and gauge whether or not she needs to speak to her doctor about any fears or nervousness she may have. she might be scared to think that it might really be real if that makes any sense? and she is willing to become pregnant and ready to try, but not ready to face the actuality of it until she really is pregnant. gl

Be a good hubby and cut her some slack.
If she gets too up tight about getting pregnant, it could hinder conception.
As soon as she knows she is expecting she will be 'all over' this baby stuff.
Then she'll drive you nuts.....time to cut her some more slack. LOL

yes it can be very depressing for someone who has wanted a baby for so lon and is not pregnant with their own yet to look, talk or think about baby stuff. It just reminds you you don't have one.

Yeah, don't worry. Get her pregnant and everything should be ok. Sometimes when you want something really bad, it's painful to reach for it when you can't have it (yet).
