NEVER NEVER NEVER pop a blister. That is how you get infection. What I do is get some moleskin (available in the foot care section of your pharmacy) and apply it to the blister. There are now also some newer items called blister pad that have medication as well as soft gel to cushion the blister. They are made by Scholls or some other such brand. Follow the directions. Cushioning the blister will make it easier to walk on. The body will reabsorb the liquid and it will then heal.
Hope it heals fast!

I learned a long time ago it is best to leave them alone. The liquid acts like a cushion and it will eventually go down on it's own and when that happens leave the skin over it alone,it acts as a natural bandaid. Depending on the location you might want to put a piece of gauze over it and tape that on to prevent further damage to it and help the liquid stay in it longer. The reason I recommend this is I discovered a blister once years ago that I did not know I had and it was healed already. This method provides less pain promotes faster healing.

Take a needle, heat it up to red hot,WHEN IT COOLS poke a hole in the bottom (if it is on the side or top of your foot) or lowest side of the blister. Use some TP to press gently on it to drain it. Then put a bandaid or a Dr Scholls blister pad on it..

well if you can leave it alone, do that. if you need to pop it, do it with a small needle and use a kleenex to blot to fluid from it. you can put a bandaid with anitbiotic ointment on it then and/or try soaking your foot in warm salt water... it stings a little at first, but then does speed the healing (like going to the beach, yanno?)
a blister is no biggie, it will heal.

Heat up a sewing needle and insert it into the blister, then let the fluid empty out of it.

do not open it!!!!
the skin acts as a natural dressing for the wound.
Unless there is puss inside you will do more harm than good by popping the blister.
