Has this man damaged himself too badly to be effective?

I think even I could have gotten that trash removed by now, BY LAW, regardless of whose land it was/is on.

ALSO, that trash on these people properties washed there in the storm, it isn't there trash anyway.

GET IT DONE "MAYOR".

(I just think this guy is dragging his feet. Blanco has the federal money in hand...screw beaurocracy...get it done)

Nagin is only one piece of the problem; he represents the stratified world of New Orleans politics and he would rather take cash from the Feds than re-build the city. He represents New Orleans "creole of color" hierarchy class of light-skinned blacks...just look at a picture of him.
We are due for some serious reform of the whole system but Nagin is just a pawn of the forces that put him there, and unless we shape those socioeconomic forces that put him there, nothing will get done...

It seems more the case that New Orleans has been betrayed by the state and federal government that hasnt funnelled the money down to the people to recover since a year ago!

of course he is dragging his feet. there is still trash everywhere, but did you notice he already has plots of land set aside for business ventures like the new Trump luxury high rise that is being built? didnt know about that one did ya? 90% of the damage is Naggins fault. did you see the pictures of the hundreds of buses underwater? he could have prevented it but this is a racist coward we are talking about, and sadly, the only reason he was elected was because he is black. he is mainly trying to line his pockets while he still has a chance, hopefully the people of N.O. will see through this and elect someone respectable next time.

Especially when you look at the progress being made in Mississippi. I think Nagin was part of the problem in the first place, him and Kathleen Bianco.

I believe that Ray Nagin alone can not take all the blame. There is enough to go around.
