It depends what kind of fishing. If one is trolling, then one can meditate on the sounds of the water hitting the boat as one gradually floats with the current. If one is fishing off a dock, pretty much the same.
If one is fly-fishing, this is another venture altogether, and not relaxing in the physical sense, but definitely in the mind.
Whatever technique one uses, it is the singleness of purpose that is ultimately relaxing. Nothing else exists except for the sudden pull of the line indicating that some fish has taken the bait.

can not stand fishing... having sex makes me & my wife relaz... or a couple of drinks,but not fishing
