Allot of people go to the mythology & folklore to ask questions. But yet all the bible thumping people have to come and answer and be mean and act like they know everything in the whole world. The reason why people ask question's in the category is they are looking for open minded individuals who are not going to knock them down for asking a question. I have noticed that there are some really mean individuals in here that do not have the ability to open minded. Why do people have to bash other's...Does it make them feel better.
If you do not believe in it you do not have to answer and make other's feel little. Just do not answer. Stay were you do believe.
My feelings and opinion. I just believe we are suppost to try and learn how to accept other's for who or what they are not what other's whant us to be or believe.

I'm a Christian - though not part of the crazy bible thumping crew... thankfully. And I do hate the way that, sadly, as you describe they just come along and bash other's opinions and curiosity. It's almost embarrassing really, because we live in a world today, where their is so much knowledge and new things being learnt and people are so narrow minded.
I love mythology and folklore, I respect others views and I do believe that there are ghosts and witchcraft (though, admittedly it's not always good). I hate then being branded as part of 'them' when I express an opinion that may seem as if it comes from a Christian background.
Bleagh.
But as someone says, it's not always the Christians.

I don't think that a true Christian would really do something like that. I was baptized into the faith but as I got older I have done a lot of research and I think that everyone has the right to believe what they want and there is no need to bash other people because they don't believe the things that I believe.

Yea if they don't believe in folklore or mythology why come here to cause problem with people who do. I believe in god and am christian but also believe psychic ability is gods work and not strange or evil at all. Try to tell some other Christians and their minds are closed tighter than bear traps.

I see the same poor-minded head-bashers in there.
The ones who shout the loudest are the ones who are insecure the most. Only a fool claims he knows all and the true wise man is never too proud to ask.

You are so right "girl". In the bible not to make yourself better than others, and to treat others as you would want them to treat you! But you know there is a lot of diff rent religions out there. All I know is that you will be punished for your sins. And if you give good Karma you will receive good Karma in the future, no matter if it is little or big. Be grateful for what you have. Dear, if you could see the Religion and spirituality section, you'll realise what you get on here is nothing.
I'm not defending them, I'm just saying that you get the spilloff on here. After all, they can't win against atheists, and most of the wiccans and pagans have been driven to this part of the sites, and they know what easy targets they make.
If they preach their mythology, and it has nothing to do with the question, just ignore them. I know its hard, but its what works best

It feels good to be right, yet one persons right is another persons wrong so no one can ever agree on anything. Alot of people are self centered and don't care what others think or feel, they care about them selfs. It takes a special person to be able to believe one thing but at the same time listen to others about what they think. that doesn' mean you have to believe what they do, but being polite is just the better thing to do.

christians are instructed by their god to spread the word and try to convert everyone or so they think yes it does make them feel better they are performing the job their god has ordered so they are mean look back in history christians have a habit of being mean, at the least, in order to spread their version of the truth muslims are doing the same thing now yet the christians are surprised that anyone would go to such drastic lengths to further a religious belief just something to think about

I am not really of any religion. But I think Jesus two commandments says it best. Love your God with all your heart soul mind and strength. 2 love your neighbor as your self. It is very simple the first one is about you. If you don't love yourself you cannot love your neighbor and that is others. In my opinion work on what you can do to be the best that you can be and that is the best thing you can do for your fellow man.

You are right. Mythology & Religion & Spirituality are two seperate categories and questions should be asked in the appropriate category.
I don't know why. I guess some people don't know the difference.
