Any of the bigger hotels don't care. It is the small ones you have to worry about. I stayed in one called the Zain Internationally that was really horrible that way. They were so rude. I love the Palm Hotel Dubai. It is a 4 star but a good price and me and my husband then boyfriend stayed there with out any troubles.

This website is one of the best for booking in Dubai. All my friends use it too.

Bottomline, you are not going to have any trouble with the bigger hotels if you book together. The smaller ones tend to be more moralistic.

some hotels would ask for a passport copy of yours and some receptionist would ask you stupid questions! if you are of the same nationality they will assume you are married couples, otherwise 1 may book for a reservation and let her/him follow you in your room. But be extra careful if hotels are 1-2 star as they are risky. police may be somewhere watching over you and remember in UAE, if you are not married and is going in such places may be...you know. You can go to jail and be deported!
