A friend is trying to duplicate the look of a geisha. The face makeup has her stuck. Can anyone suggest techinques or links to duplicate this look? Very specific would be helpful, general like "powder on foundation" is not so helpful. thanks

well geishas use very very white face powder. i suggest starting with the lightest cream foundation you can find. on top of it find a very white powder or go to a costume store to get cream white clown makeup cream. then for cheeks: get a very reddish blush. smile then apply as a perfect circle on each cheek. lipstick is easy: red red red! but dont apply on whole lip rather since whole face should be white (including lips) with lipstick draw very small lips inside your real lips. percest top curves and everything. eyemakeup: really depends on the color of clothes u are wearing. i do suggest black mascara or if ur eyelashes arent too long use fakes with lots of long/short lashes on it.

watch the movie closely because they actually show details on how they applied the make up.. its really cool!
