I'd start preparing your self before hand. Wash your hands and stretch your azz. Put one finger in, then two, then more. Now maybe try putting a dildo or b*u*t*t plug in. Start small and work up. If you put in a dildo or something, use lube.
For lube, get either "eros pur" or "wet".
Before the deed get an enema. Either use female douche products or a water bottle.
Try poppers if you want - just ask for them at a porn shop. They are often reffered to as head cleaner. I think they are great - but don't use them if you have a heart problem. They are not a narcotic, but they do temporily widen blood vessels. if one of you needs viagra - never have poppers and viagra together - viagra also widens blood vessels. That would be cruising for a heart attack! But anyway, I was just warning you, if you have no problems, take the poppers because they really do help you out.
Never let him enter you with out a condom unless you have been together monogamously for 6 months and have both been aids tested. As the bottom, you are more vulnerable to infection.
Use lots of lube. Let him enter you slowly. Once he is in you tell him just to be still for a minute or so until your passage expands. Then he can start to pound away.
First time or so will be a bit hard - but you'll adjust. You will be a size queen before you know it!

Clean up your act: Before having anal sex, you should clean out a much as possible. If you don't, it could get messy and unpleasant for everyone involved. A normal bowel movement should be good enough, but some people also opt for an enema.
Work your way up: A penis is an awful big to be the first thing you take up your butt. Better to start with something smaller and work your way up. Fingers are an excellent beginning point... either your own or yoour 'tops'. Use one finger, then two, to get your muscle relaxed and stretched a little. Try it as part of the foreplay or during oral sex for an extra thrill. Be sure fingernails are trimmed, not to forget the lube. A butt blug is also a good thing to experiment with before going for the real thing. They come in lots of sizes and can be fun all on thier own.
Lube Lube Lube: One of the most important thing to remember when thinking about anal sex LUBE... It will make the initial penetration much more easy and less painful (yes - no matter how much prep you do there may be a liitle pain... if there is a LOT of pain stop. A little pain is oour bodies way of telling up that it is alive. A lot of pain is our bodies way of telling us something is wrong). I would personally reccomend a silicone based lube as they are very slick,do not dry out or get gummy like water based lubes, and most are condom safe.
Relax: The most important thing at the point of 'doing the deed' is to relax. Having a penis enter your anus is enough to get excited over, and usually this will cause muscles to tense up.
Have fun, enjoy the experience, and be safe. Wrap it before you ride it!

First off, get a good-quality lubricant. This is very important. (Better yet, make him go get it so he gets to be the embarrassed one. :P) A good lubricant family that will be at your local Walgreens equivalent is the "ID" family, I've put a link to their Wikipedia page below. ID Millennium (green bottle) is their top-of-the-line silicone lubricant, it's very good but also expensive, like $15-30 a bottle, so if you want to go cheaper get ID Glide (blue bottle), their water-based lubricant. (They both work fine in terms of actually lubricating, Glide just dries quicker.) (Do not pick up a batch of lubricated condoms and think that will work. You need lube in a bottle.) Second, if you're feeling nervous about being dirty down there, you can enema beforehand. (A good brand is Fleet.) This is time-consuming and pretty gross and it's embarrassing to buy the kit, so if you want to just skip this part you can, it's not a big deal. (And really it's his problem anyway, innit? :P) Go to the bathroom and take a shower beforehand. It's also very nice to take some body lotion and rub it in down there after the shower. When it actually happens, you should both go through a lot of foreplay, get yourself worked up, and then he should use a finger on you and work his way up to two or three, always at your request. At three fingers you should be feeling a little discomfort, but not pain. Only at that point should you guys actually attempt sex. He should of course be going veeeeery slowly. In particular, it often takes a while to get the first few inches in. He should be patient and not be trying to press things, particularly if you are feeling pain. If he simply waits, your body will naturally open up before him - he should at no point feel like he's pressing "through" anything. Your body will let him know when it's ready. (It goes without saying that he should be using lubricant throughout the entire process from fingers to sex.) Once he's bottomed out in you (or if he's pretty big you may find a point where it hurts to go farther, so just stop there), then after that he should be able to speed up - at that point your body will have adjusted to him. The important thing is for you to enjoy it, and it will be enjoyable if you're in the right frame of mind. All too often people get into the mindset that it will be painful, and then they get anxious and nervous, and then they tense up, and then it IS painful. :) It really shouldn't be painful, so if it is painful, don't be afraid to make him slow down and use more lubricant, but also be ready yourself to relax and feel good. Try to keep in mind that plenty of people have anal sex all the time without any pain and love it. Also, position makes a huge difference. I personally find it easiest on my back with my legs high in the air, or doggy style with my head up (i.e., not in the pillows). Many people enjoy the spooning position although I don't. The big key is to have a 90 degree angle between your torso and your upper legs. Take your time, keep a sense of humor about things, and try a lot of different positions. The first time me and my last boyfriend had sex, we tried some three or four positions before we found one that worked.

Lots of lube. Use condoms. If you mean in advance, anal masturbation is a good idea, and the man you are with should massage the area, possibly rimm you -- and use a very slow method to get it in.
You will enjoy it.

Not being an expert, but it comes down to being relaxed. You have to want to, you should have a lube, and for starters try the "spooning" position, where you lie on your side with your knees tucked up level with your hips, this way all the muscles are relaxed. If you're stood up and bent over, they will be tense and it will hurt more.
