both let them air dry and then stick them in the drier just for a few minutes that way you save electricity and your clothes will come out soft and warm

The only things I put in the dryer are socks, underwear, sheets, towels. Everything else I consider my good clothes, such as tee shirts, jeans, slacks, skirts.....everything....gets hung up to dry because the dryer can shrink stuff or wrinkle it badly. I don't use an outside clothes line though because I don't my clothes exposed to the outside weather. I have a closet rod I installed over my washer/dryer and I hang them there. I take real good care of the clothes I spend my money on so I can have them for longer.

Dryer. I think most people these days use the dryer. Although every once in a while you see a line of clothes out. Not for me though!

I hang my clothes on the clothes line in the sunshine and fresh air. They smell so fresh and clean. If your clothes are stiff when they come off the line then you are either not rinsing well or your washing powder is not very good. I hardly ever use the dryer only when it is raining. We must learn to conserve electricity also and while we do that we save money.

I love hanging clothes out to dry. It helps if the clothes line is fairly close to the house. I love the smell of them coming off the line. My favorite clothes line was one that extended out over a garden. One had to stand on a block to reach the line, but it had a line feeder so that you just stood and hung the clothes, moved the line, hung another item, moved the line and so on. I loved watching the clothes go out over the garden and flutter in the wind. Dryer are great for rainy weather.

I prefer to hang sheets, towels, rugs, etc. on the line. Most clothes I put in the dryer because I don't like to iron.

After having been line dried and getting the fresh outdoor smell I put them into the dryer with one damp washcloth on the permanent press cycle, cooldown setting. Saves money since they are not in the dryer longer than 10 minutes, they smell line dried fresh and they are clothes dryer soft. It also removes the wrinkles.

I throw most my clothes in the dryer, but if I'm dealing with something delicate or something that I'm afraid will shrink, I use a drying rack.

hanging allows the clothes to become a bit stiff sometimes.
go for the dryer with the static sheets if you can manage it.

I would prefer a dryer just because like if your busy a lot you need to just stick it in there and come back in an hour and fold it its a lot faster.
