apparently this gentleman has never been in a combat situation...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

1st, God loves war. Read the Old testament.

2nd, I do not believe that the Japs have a deep seated hatred for everything American, and either do the Itallians, or the Austrians. or the Brittish. War can cause hatred, and can also forge new alliancees.

3rd, pacificism is evil for two reasons.....all that is necessary for evil to win is for good men to do nothing, and pacifism by deliberatly taking away from one nation's war effort helps the enemies of the home nation. Desertion is more honorable than pacifism.

apparently turbowggie has never been in combat either.. because if either of you had you would know that the last thing God wants is war. Having Bullets fly over your head, smelling death all around you.. women and childrens dead bodies on the ground... NO .. war is evil ..period !

I've read the Old Testament. I don't remember coming across anything saying that God loves war. There were a lot of wars - but they were fought by ordinary human beings.
And I take umbrage with you using the word 'Japs'. That is the same thing as someone calling African-Americans '*******.' I have many JAPANESE friends, and many African American friends.
Pacifism is not evil, in any sense of the word.

"apparently this gentleman has never been in a combat situation..." - what kind of toss-off statement is this? What does it have to do with ANYTHING?

1. God doesn't love war. It's part of the free will He gave us. War is all our fault. And we suffer for it accordingly.
2. Quite correct.
3. Pacifism isn't evil. It's just plain old suicide in the face of aggressors who would just as soon saw your head off. And in many cases, pacifism is just intellectually dishonest because they know that there are others who will step up and defend them.

It's really not that whacked out a view.

Clearly he believes in war for war's sake and not for any meaningful reason.
I do agree with point number 2 (and I think I hate myself a little for agreeing with this guy), although I find his reference to "Japs" to detract from his arguement, rather than enhance it.
I don't know where the pacifism arguement comes from. Saying "Screw this" while serving in the military is more honorable than saying "This is a bad idea! What can we do about this before people die?" I don't get it.

Pacifism doesn't always mean ignoring wars.

Sometimes it means affirimatively acting to end them. And that's not doing nothing. That's making a choice and acting, toward peace.

Who is willing to convert to Islam?
Isn't that what we would eventually have to do to keep our heads on?
Perhaps it is inevitable, if so, let's DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
