I would like to make a dance up to a song that is good enough for school but not corny. I like rap and r&b but I'll willing to think out side the box.

Holly Valance - Kiss, Kiss is an excellent song to choreograph a routine to we have used it in a number of dance classes, and I don't think it's that well known a song in the US.

"Music" by Madonna. I know you said you like rap and r&b, but this song has a good beat to it and it makes you really want to jump up and dance. R&B, maybe "Yeah" by Usher. Thats a good one too. Good luck and have fun!
