With opaque ceramics super glue is fine but because of its refractive index being different to that of glass the join is clearly visible. There is on the market a special glue for glass which sets off with tha action of the UV light in sunlight which has a R.I. much closer to glass and the joins are much less obvious.

Super Glue is not the answer.
Use a high quality 2 part clear epoxy.
Consider the following:
http://www.smooth-on.com/epoxy.htm
Scroll down to EA-40 Applications
Super glue fuses plastic and since glass and china have No Plastic in them it will not bond well IF at all.

Hey Answer man,
PVC glue is for joining PVC plastic, not china. I works by melting and biting into the vinyl surfaces. Not suited to porcelain and ceramics.
