You can't seriously expect anyone to believe this! First off, the claim of 40,000 troops deserting is preposterous. Second, I read a dozen BS articles on the page you directed us to and there was no story addressing that number.
The only time I saw 40,000 mentioned was in a unattributable story saying over 40,000 Iraqi civilians were killed in Iraq.
Let me guess, you're the truthout webmaster and posted this to drum up some hits!

WOW... 40,000 troops... REALLY?... WOW... considering the military in Iraq is only about 160,000 that means that fully 25 percent of the soldiers have deserted... that's a lot of camo dudes going to canada, isn't it?

isn't exciting in a sad tragic way .. how human beings will take your question and right now accuse you of attacking the warriors ......are they completely blind as to what it really is you've written.... This conflict is Vietnam all throughout back ... good infantrymen demise for a NO good reason... what became it back ( re Iraq) .. WMD?? or became it coming near near chance ??? or became it a regime replace?? September11th ( that had not something TO DO WITH SADAM) or became all of it purely over oil. project performed ? what number years later?? My heart is going out to the warriors and their households and no individual i understand who's hostile to the conflict ... Hates the warriors .. all of them have the soldier's brilliant interest at heart. multiple human beings i understand stay in extra concern of their authorities that they extremely do of a terrorist attack. they're terrified of the rights that they are dropping less than the guise of the patriot (sp) act.. they're terrified of the enemies that they trust their authorities is growing.... Sadam became NO chance to the united states.( no disputing he became to particular communities interior of his own human beings) ... yet what number situations have you ever examine human beings writing about how a lot safer they sense with out sadam... enable's purely say SUCKED IN BIGTIME human beings.. multiple of you're permitting yourselves to stay fearfully . a ploy of your authorities so that you will be prepared to do what the presidents asks even with means to justify HIS end. Nonsense. There is no way that 40,000 troops have deserted, as that would be a major news story. I doubt that 400 troops have deserted.

40,000? Why not make it 400,000 or hell, all of them. As long as you're making outrageous stupid claims, why not go for broke? A website called truthout, yeah, that will convince me. I'm sure it has solid evidence from sources within the Pentagon who are sworn to secrecy... oh please...
