I love him. It's very easy not to as he can be his own worst enemy. But in terms of prolific song writers/performers of the 00's there are few that can touch him.
I think his album I've Been Expecting You is excellent, Escapology was amazing, although I have to admit I have really struggled with his latest I really don't like it.
I think the key to understanding his appeal and talent is seeing him live, and I think the Live At Knebworth album communicates this well.
He is different from most male singer/songwriters that are out there at the moment, in that his songs are mainstream but without being conformist and with very little (until the recent album) bad language.
I LIKE HIM!
P.S. I have refrained from mentioning, until now, how BUFF that boy is. Yum yum!

The main problem with Robbie Williams is that he loves himself too much but i suppose most people in his line of work are the same

He's really a big kid (I mean that as a compliment- he is enthusiastic, clowns around and is eager to love and be loved- he is like Norman Wisdom in that respect). He also has a perceptive, quite serious, outlook on life and fame and he is simulataneously full of confidence and doubt, like a lot of greats were/are. He has co-written a lot of great songs which display a wide range. His appeal is not just to young girls/women who love his looks. He has an understanding of the stagecraft of singers like Sinatra and The Rat Pack- he made Swing when your winning. He would have been successful if he had entirely relied on ballads but he is very creative and has done more modern, experimental songs too. He wears his heart on his sleeve, he can work an audience extremely well and he is one of the greats, as many singers of great stature have recognised of him.

i think he is overrated, not even that nice looking either. in fact i think he looks really gay nowadays with that earring.
some others seem to be confusing him with the actor Robin Williams. ROBBIE williams is a singer (though his songs are really pretty cheesy crap). his new song is awful

Slightly bloated, British entertainer...possibly gay but who cares, can sing & dance a bit, a bit of show off but likeable, reminds me of Norman Wisdom sometimes, a half decent footballer (talking Soccer Aid), good charity worker, a mummy's boy, successful with the ladies, ex drug addict & ex alchoholic, role model for english boys, cheeky chappie, millionnaire, ex Take That singer, most popular and most successful pop star of recent times, v.good in concert and can't break America!

Well I didnt like him in Take That then liked him a few years ago when he was coming out with all this original stuff and even recently his music has surprised me and I have grown to like it but I am not keen on his new track. I think hes a bit over now.
