Transmigration of the soul is going on in this life, what to speak of in the future. Its a simple thing anyone with a little thought can understand. Its not a religious belief, its reality. Everyone must get old and die, but because we are the spiritual energy within the body that doesn't die, we have to accept another body.

The material energy, a part of which is our body, is constantly in flux. Every moment the cells of our body are dying and being replaced so that every 7 years each and every cell has been replaced at least once. If we are the body, which body are we? By the time we're 50, we've had 7 completely different bodies, yet we know we're the same person despite all these changes. What is providing our constant identity? That is the spirit soul, the spiritual energy. If we are constantly changing our body in this life, what is the problem to accept that the unchanging, eternal soul can transmigrate into another body at death?

Proof of the existence of the soul, its past in other bodies, etc. is called self-realization. This implies that the realization or "proof" is self-evident or subjective in nature. When you become self-realized, you perfectly understand the nature of the self, the soul, but its an individual endeavor and the realization is revealed to the individual alone. In effect, the individual is the lab and his practice of spiritual realization is the experiment. If he/she is successful, then the proof is his realization.

To insist that the spirit soul does not exist because it cannot be "proven" by the same processes of direct sense perception that are used in a lab, only reveals a lack of intelligence in the matter. Spirit by definition is transcendental to matter and therefore using our direct sense perception to perceive the soul is futile. Nevertheless, anyone who cares enough and is sincere enough, can devote him/herself to self-realization and see for themselves. It doesn't have to be blind faith. Do the work and find out for yourself.

I think the question should be, "Why believe in life after death?"

Too many people spend way too much time wondering about what is going to happen after their physical body ceases to function. The truth is, nobody knows!

A much better idea is to worry about life BEFORE death. Just take care of life here, and deal with what comes after death when you're dead.

Believing in life after death is a tricky thing. You can believe that after you die you live your eternal life in heaven or hell, as Christians do. Or you can believe that you are reborn as another human being in a circle of never ending life, reincarnation. For me it's hard to say either way. I like to think I'm a christian and I would love to live eternally in heaven with Jesus and my loved ones, but some science tells us otherwise. I believe that abortion, at a certain point, is wrong, but should be taken into consideration in the event of a rape, or other such things. Even still, that baby is a life, and should be respected as such. Anyone choosing abortion should very seriously beg forgiveness. I think that the death penalty is an easy way out for evil people. Throw them in jail for the rest of their lives and let them be beat and raped by their fellow inmates, if in fact they truly are guilty.

believe that God made us in His image and why would he do that if he didn't want us to live on in heaven with him. Then just to make sure he sent His only Son to redeem our sins! I almost died during childbirth 2 years ago and I don't think that was all there would have been to my life. We don't only get life after death in heaven but our loved ones here on earth make sure we live every day! We recall them and they are with us in our hearts.

Absolutely I do! I believe that we are here on earth for a little while to learn about ourselves and other then we go on to the next life. We will go on to the next life and learn more than we did in this life and so on.

I believe we will see others that have passed on before us (relatives, friends, etc.) I can wait until my time has come to get to heaven but I know that it is something I will look forward to.

God Bless

No, because when you die, you simple cease to exist. The organs that makes you work don't work anymore. Period.

There's no God, Jesus, heaven, angels, spirits, ghosts, souls and afterlife. People who believe in those things were simply brainwashed by their parents.

Nope, this life is the only one we have, then you must live it fully.

Reencarnation is a myth created by religions in order to gain adepts.

Yes, I really believe God intended all of us to live forever. Otherwise why would he say "do not eat from this fruit, or you will surely die."

Not sure. Somedays I do. I'm undecided. I try to teach my children about God to give them something morally good to believe in. But as for myself.... who knows. I've never died so I'm not sure.
