The makeup makes them look freaky, and they usually act or talk in a weird way, too. I'm somewhat afraid of them.

People are afraid of clowns because sometimes their makeup are too much and looks scary to them.

When I was a child, my entire village was wiped out by a clown. I carried a machine gun in one hand and a machete in the other. The machine gun was for the men, the machete for the women. The children he left to tell the story.
I hate clowns.

Personally, my fear of clowns comes from watching Stephen King's 'IT" at to young an age. lol My overactive imagination went wild and now clowns freak me out. My husband and brother love to tease me about it but they really do creep me out!.
