It's a beautiful drive. IThe road has lots of bridges, including the 7 mile bridge, connecting each Key. The keys are all little islands. You won't get wet!

we drove from Miami to Key West on out honeymoon. For some of the time it's bridges over water. Not rickety ones like in The Goonies, you wouldn't even know you were over the water if you didn't check out the view.

takes quite a while from Miami, but there is a bridge that connects the Keys...2-lane road

US1 to Key West is a long, long road that goes bridge - island - bridge - island - bridge - island - bridge - etc.
It's long and boring, but Key West is quaint.

Its a two way road, over water, risky, passing lanes every 3 miles or so.
