I need more information - do you have ovarian cysts or adnexal cysts that they can't tell if they are on the ovaries or tubes?? Do you have polycystic ovarian syndrome?? You have to know the answers to these questions first. No matter what, in vitro fertilization has come a long way these days - you have no idea how many people use it - no one talks about it!!

A second opinion from an ob/gyn or internist that specializes in ovarian cyst/polycystic ovary problems may be a good way to go. Your current doctor does not seem to have a clue.
Ovarian cysts can result from insulin overproduction (hyperinsulinemia), which can be corrected. My niece was diagnosed with PCOS and successfully became pregnant after watching her diet and receiving metformin (what they gave me for my diabetes). She is currently working on #2.
I handled my ovarian cysts with red raspberry taken the week before and the week after ovulation - but that was before I was diagnosed with high insulin (mine was in the form of hypoglycemia - low blood sugar). I was not trying to get pregnant - however.
Check out www.hufa.org for some basic information on low blood sugar, and find another doctor.

Go to a fertility specialist and see if he can do surgery and clean out the tubes and remove the cyst. Or you may have to resort to in vitro fertilization. Good luck.
Ovarian cysts are on the overies not the tubes. You may have tubal blockage too.

Get a second opinion! I was told I couldn't either because I had cysts on one ovary and the other was deformed and non-functional. I now have 4 beautiful children! I can't say that your doctor is correct or incorrect, but it is deffinately worth spending the time and money on. Please don't give up because one doctor says one thing. Just remember, there are good doctors and bad doctors, just like plumbers.

Please look in the yellow pages and find a fertility specialist. Or find the fertility specialists at a large hospital near you. They can tell you whether they can perform surgery and still keep your tubes. They can also tell you if they could freeze some of your eggs before the surgery for implantation in your uterus at a later date.
Look for local places like this:

ok talk to a specialist, odds are you can become bregnant but not in the normal way. they may be able to harvest some eggs from you and fertilize them then replant them into your uterus, i cant think of the word, invertro fertilization maybe? but just cuz you cant get pregnant by having sex doesnt mean you cant get pregnant. you can even consider a serogate

There is two things you can do. 1) you can get someone else to get pregnant for you. or you can adopte there are so many kids that don't have a home and would be great. And i know that the baby would not be yours but you can love him or her like if it was.

My best Friend had the same diagnosis also fifteen years ago, she now has four beautiful children. While her pregnancies were all difficult, if you and your doctor know ahead of time what your dealing with, it CAN be done. Good Luck my friend.
